  • Income-tax Act, 2025: assented to on 21 August 2025 and in force from 1 April 2026, it replaces the Income-tax Act, 1961 for tax year 2026-27 onward, and the Income-tax Rules, 2026 (notified 20 March 2026) replace the 1962 Rules. Section and rule numbers on this page are those of the 1961 Act and 1962 Rules, which continue to govern assessments, appeals and pending proceedings for assessment years up to 2026-27; for tax year 2026-27 onward the corresponding provisions of the 2025 Act apply, and our engagement letters quote both.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the fee for gst refund application service?
Fees vary based on complexity and dispute amount. We offer transparent fixed-fee pricing. Contact Virtual Auditor at +91-99622 60333 for a customised quote. Initial consultation is free.
What is the time limit for filing gst refund application?
GST appeals must be filed within 3 months from the date of the order (Section 107). Tribunal appeals within 3 months of the appellate order. Late filing requires condonation of delay. Contact us immediately upon receiving an adverse order.
Can Virtual Auditor represent me at GST hearings?
Yes. CA V. Viswanathan (FCA) is authorised to represent assessees before GST Appellate Authorities, GST Tribunal, and adjudicating officers. We handle the entire process — from drafting to hearing representation.
Am I eligible for this refund or export-related process, and what records support the claim?
Eligibility depends on the route. Exporters either pay IGST and claim it back (for goods, through the shipping bill; for services, by refund application) or export under a Letter of Undertaking without paying tax and claim the unused input tax credit. Others may claim refunds of accumulated credit caused by an inverted duty structure, of excess balance in the cash ledger, or for deemed exports. Most claims must be filed within two years of the relevant date (section 54 of the CGST Act). Support the claim with invoices, shipping bills or export proof, bank realisation or FIRC evidence for services, the GSTR-2B reconciliation and the statement of the claim. We check eligibility, prepare the RFD-01 application and reply to deficiency memos.
